"For the past two years, Delegate Hala Ayala has put conservation first at the General Assembly, making her the clear choice to protect Prince William County’s environment going forward," said Michael Town, executive director of the Virginia League of Conservation Voters. "We are proud to endorse Delegate Ayala in her re-election bid and look forward to working with her in 2020 and beyond to drive progress on climate action and clean energy, clean water, and protected open spaces in the 51st District and across Virginia."

Senator Kaine stated, "I'm pleased to support Hala Ayala's re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates in the 51st District. During her first term, Hala helped expand Medicaid, raised teacher pay, and pushed for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. As the daughter of an immigrant, a single mom of two, graduate of Virginia public schools, and a cybersecurity expert, Hala brings a wealth of experience and an important perspective to the General Assembly. I know she'll continue to work for our shared values in her second term."

Hala is a proven fighter for what matters most to Virginia families - equitable access to education, affordable quality healthcare, and jobs that offer benefits and dignified wages. Having served eight years in the Virginia State Legislature myself, I know how hard it can be to get cut through partisan lines to move legislation forward. Hala is willing to reach across the aisle to pass legislation that benefits the people of Prince William County, and will continue to do so when re-elected this November. I am glad to stand with Delegate Hala Ayala and endorse her re-election,” said Representative McEachin.
