WOODBRIDGE - Today United States Representative Jennifer Wexton (VA-10) announced her endorsement of Delegate Hala Ayala (D-51) in her re-election race for the Virginia House of Delegates in District 51.
“Anyone who has worked with Hala knows that she is a real force for good. I understand this first-hand, as someone who has collaborated with her in the Prince William National Organization of Women and in the Virginia General Assembly. Hala has taken her adversities and turned them into a catalyst for change, bringing much-needed compassion to legislation on behalf of working families. I stand proudly with Hala and endorse her re-election campaign for State Delegate,” said Representative Wexton.
The election for the 51st House of Delegates District will be held on November 5. Delegate Ayala and Representative Wexton will be participating in joint activities throughout the campaign to work towards her re-election effort and help Democrats win the majority in 2019.
Delegate Hala Ayala has been a member of the Prince William County community for over 35 years and was elected to represent the 51st District in Virginia House of Delegates in 2017. She is a cybersecurity expert and served as the chief co-patron of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) during the 2019 legislative session.
