WOODBRIDGE - Today United State Representative Donald McEachin (VA-4) announced his endorsement of Delegate Hala Ayala (D-51) in her re-election race for the Virginia House of Delegates in District 51.
“Hala is a proven fighter for what matters most to Virginia families - equitable access to education, affordable quality healthcare, and jobs that offer benefits and dignified wages. Having served eight years in the Virginia State Legislature myself, I know how hard it can be to get cut through partisan lines to move legislation forward. Hala is willing to reach across the aisle to pass legislation that benefits the people of Prince William County, and will continue to do so when re-elected this November. I am glad to stand with Delegate Hala Ayala and endorse her re-election,” said Representative McEachin.
The election for the 51st House of Delegates District will be held on November 5. Delegate Ayala and Representative McEachin will be participating in joint activities throughout the campaign to work towards her re-election effort and help Democrats win the majority in 2019.
Delegate Hala Ayala has been a member of the Prince William County community for over 35 years and was elected to represent the 51st District in Virginia House of Delegates in 2017. She is a cybersecurity expert and served as the chief co-patron of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) during the 2019 legislative session.
